Pompeii’s art treasures

In a few weeks my sisters, brother-in-law, and niece will visit Pompeii for the first time. I can hardly wait to see their reactions to that amazing place! Here are some photos from my last visit there. Mosaic tiles, sculpture, fresco, and beautiful detail–imagine what a rich atmosphere this place had in its day!

  1. Try to get Roberto for your tour guide. He is anazingingly interesting, dramatic, uses his hands and speaks very good English. I watched other tour guides who seemed to just go through the motions. Even other persons not in tours would linger around to listen to our guide. Lived it.

  2. If you do a tour of Pompeii try to get Roberto. He is so interesting, dramatic and I could see from other tour guides in the trip that they were boring. There were always other persons outside our group hanging around and listening to his tours.
