It’s always a surprise to see that an older post about arugula is consistently the most popular one on my blog. A few days ago I planted arugula seeds in a pot on my back porch–and here they are!! Sprouting up and promising some yummy salads in a few weeks. Are you growing something that reminds you of Italy?
I recently mixed this with fusilli and lemon. The warm pasta wilted the greens. Yum.
Looks about like mine does. I wasn’t sure what I had planted where, so this photo helped my identify it. Thanks!
I’m not sure it looks very different from some other veggies at this “little sprout” stage. Hope you get a good crop!
I LOVE arugula and it would never have occurred to me to try and grow it … but then again, my gardening skills aren’t very good. Plants that like neglect do the best in my garden.
This is fairly quick to grow to maturity, and does well in a pot–mine is by the back door, so a ready reminder to water it.
Thanks. I think I will have to try it – when it’s a bit warmer :)
I’m not likely to plant arugala, so can I just jump on my electric cart and come to your garden?
Come to my garden any time! But it’s not ready yet. :)
I imagine it needs a cool shady spot in a Texas garden. Up here in Washington state, my sunny back porch works well.
Thanks for reminding me, “aa rucala” was the one thing I forgot to plant!! There is none of the wild kind here in Texas growing alongside the road, unfortunately.
