Here’s a lesson for visitors to Italy on why NOT to drive in the cities. This took place in Naples, and has seen a lot of action on YouTube, but it could be any Italian city.
I think it’s a lesson on why not to drive in Italian cities when you lack basic skills. We’ve been driving in Naples for 18 years without a single mishap. It can be unnerving, but in our experience, drivers are pretty predictable once you get a sense of the flow. We’ve even driven an old Dutch camper in Spaccanapoli . . . no problem! Loved this video, Sandy!
Reminds me of me in Perugia. I was diving up a road that kept getting narrower and narrower until I came to an archway that was so narrow that the little Renault wouldn’t fit through it. No place to turn around and I had to back about 1/4 mile uphill to turn around!

You are intrepid indeed! I’d encourage basic skills–AND the priest (at the end of the video)!

That kind of thing happened to us a time or two. We found it worked best for us to park and walk in smaller towns.
We were driving through town.
